Vegan shawarma without meat in pita bread

Ingredients :


Basic:
pita bread 2 pcs.
Mayonnaise (vegan)1 tbsp
Hot pickles to taste
Garlic sauce to taste
Stuffing:
Potatoes5 pcs.
Soya meat20g
Chinese cabbage100 g
Carrot1 piece
Cucumber2pc
Lettuce1 bunch
Onion to taste
Tomato1pc
Vegetable oil3 tbsp
Spices:
Salt½ tsp.
Black pepper (ground) ½ tsp.
Paprika½ tsp.
Cumin (zira) ½ tsp.
Dried garlic 1 tsp.

How to cook :

Soak the soy meat in hot water for 15 minutes.

Then we peel and dice the potatoes. Squeeze out the soy meat from the water and put it on a baking tray together with the sliced potatoes. Sprinkle everything with spices, pour olive oil and mix well. We put in the oven and bake for 15 minutes at 200 degrees.

Chop the vegetables and herbs finely julienne.

When the potatoes and soy meat are baked, let them cool down a bit. Then we put them and vegetables on the edge of pita. Gently wrap, supporting the stuffing with our hands, fold the edges and twist.

5.
To make the crust of the vegan shawarma crispy, pan-fry the doner on all sides. Serve hot with sauces, vegetables or pickled peppers of your preference.
