Potatoes and meatballs recipe .

Ingredients :

potatoes – 600 g.
minced meat – 550 gr.
tomatoes – 3 pcs.
Suluguni cheese – 120 g.
Onions – 1 pc
garlic – 2-3 cloves.
salt – 1/2 tsp.
Italian herbs – 1/2 tsp.
Sweet paprika – 1 tsp.
black pepper

Step by step recipe :

1) Chop onion and garlic in a blender.

Mix 550 gr. of minced meat, salt and spices (Italian herbs, sweet paprika and ground black pepper) in a bowl.

Mix the filling well.

Form the meat “koloboks”.

2) Peel 600 g. potatoes, wash, and cut into rounds +/-1 cm. thick.

I do it with a shaped knife, but you can do it with an ordinary one.

To prevent the potatoes from darkening, send them in water before assembling the dish.

3) On the potatoes put a block of minced meat, press and cover with the next piece of potato.

In a baking dish, stack potatoes with stuffing in a circle.

4) Chop 3 tomatoes with a blender.

If you are uncomfortable with the skin, you can grate the tomatoes.

Spread shredded tomatoes on potatoes with meat and send to the oven heated to 180 ° C for about 40 minutes, look at the readiness of potatoes, its readiness can be determined by piercing with a wooden stick or knife.

5) Sprinkle the grated cheese over the potatoes 5 minutes before they’re ready, and put them in the oven to melt the cheese. All done!
