Recipe for potato pie in the oven

Sweet potato pie… Did you think it was something very strange? Well, it’s original. And it’s pretty tasty, you can check it out for yourself. Here’s the recipe for potato pie in the oven.


Batatoes – 2 Pieces (medium sized, cooked)

Sugar – 1 cup

Butter – 55gm

Condensed milk – 120 ml

Vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon

Nutmeg grated – 0.5 teaspoon

Cinnamon – 0.5 teaspoon

Biscuit dough – 200gm


Pre-boiled yams to softness, dry and put in a bowl, mash with a fork. Add soft butter, milk, sugar and all spices.

Now take a mixer and whisk the whole mass until it is a homogeneous puree.

Cover a round baking dish with a sheet of rolled out dough, press the edges of the dough slightly against the rim of the dish. Start placing the mashed potatoes on the dough.

Heat the oven to 200 degrees, spread the filling over the dough and send the pie into the oven. Bake for 10 minutes, then bake for another 25-30 minutes at 180 degrees.
