Easy Strawberry bombs .
How to cook Strawberry bombs:
300g (2 cups) flour
45g (1/4 cup) sugar
pinch of salt
7g dry yeast
140ml (3/5 cup) warm milk
40g (1/4 cup) softened butter
In a medium bowl, mix the sugar, baking powder and milk until dissolved.
Beat in the egg. Add the flour and salt and knead the dough with a spatula. Continue kneading with your hands until the dough becomes elastic.
Add the softened butter and continue kneading until the butter is fully incorporated into the dough.
Form the dough into a ball, cover with a tea towel or cling film and leave to rise for one hour.
Divide the dough into 8 portions and form each into a ball. Cover and leave to rise for 30 minutes.
Flatten each ball slightly and roll out again. Cover and leave to rise for another 30 minutes.
Fry the balls in hot oil over low heat for 2-3 minutes on each side.
Leave to cool slightly and cut in half lengthways, like a hamburger bun.
Spread one half with the whipped cream and the chopped strawberries, cover with the other half, sprinkle with sugar and serve.
