Peanut butter chocolate bars are an easy dessert to make and taste just like Reese’s. They’re a great way to make a chocolate peanut butter bar. You only need 5 ingredients, and you probably already have them in your pantry!

5 tablespoons salted butter softened
3/4 cup light brown sugar packed
2 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
1 cup Ghirardelli chocolate melts

Line a 9-inch square baking pan with foil and grease with butter; set aside.
Mix all the base ingredients together in a large bowl and spread over the bottom of the prepared pan.
In a small microwave-safe bowl, heat topping ingredients until melted. Stir frequently and do not overheat. Spread the peanut butter over the bottom and chill until cold (at least 4 hours).
To make cutting easier, let the bars rest at room temperature (so that the tops don’t break). Remove the bars from the foil-lined baking sheet and cut into squares with a sharp knife. Store in the refrigerator.
