Easy Marshmallow Frosting .

Marshmallow frosting has the flavor of classic marshmallow but the chewy texture of whipped meringue frosting and shimmer – perfect for all your favorite cakes and cupcakes!

Ingredients :

▢ ½ cup white sugar
▢ 2 large egg whites
▢ ¼ cup marshmallow fluff
▢ 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions :

Pour the water into a saucepan and bring it to a boil over medium heat.

Pour the egg whites and sugar into a glass bowl and place it over the boiling water.

Stir constantly until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture reaches 160° F on a kitchen or oven thermometer (this will take about 5 minutes).

Pour the egg whites into the mixer bowl (or the mixer bowl fitted with the paddle attachment) and beat on medium speed until stiff peaks form (this will take about 5 more minutes).

Slowly add the marshmallow flakes and vanilla extract and beat on high speed until stiff peaks form (about 3 minutes).

For cupcakes: pour frosting into a piping bag with tip of your choice and pipe onto cupcakes.

For cakes: spread frosting on sides and top of cake.
Decorate with mini marshmallows and/or chocolate shavings.
