A simple recipe for apple pie

A store-bought apple pie can’t compare to a homemade one made with love and warmth. Here’s a simple apple pie recipe that I make sure to add cinnamon to. A simple and delicious pie for tea. Cooking description: Apple pie is a classic. There are dozens of different variations of its preparation. Serve the pie with tea, you can with an ice cream scoop, with cream cheese. You can make a beautiful lattice or drape the pie with a single layer of dough. Cut apples into thin slices or small pieces, as you prefer.


Flour – 2 Cups (+3 tablespoons)
Salt – 1 pinch
Butter – 90gm
Cold water – 5 Tablespoon
Eggs – 1
White sugar – 80 grams
Brown sugar – 80 grams
Cinnamon – 1 teaspoon
Nutmeg – 0,5 teaspoon
Apples – 6-8 Pieces
Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon


In a bowl, sift the flour, add salt, then cut the butter into pieces and add it to the flour, knead it with a fork to crumble.

Add the cold water and knead the dough.

Divide the dough into 2 portions and wrap each in cling film, then place the dough in the fridge for 30 minutes. After half an hour, take out one part and roll it out thinly into the shape you will be baking in.

Using a rolling pin, gently transfer the dough to the baking dish.

Press the dough into the mold, trimming off the dangling edges.

Place the dough in the mold while the filling is cooking.

Peel the apples, then cut in half and remove the seeds, cut the apple into pieces and transfer to a bowl. Add the white and brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, spices, pour in the lemon juice and mix everything.

Take the remaining dough out of the refrigerator and roll into a layer, then cut into strips.

Take the dough out of the mold and place the filling inside, along with all the juices.

Whisk the egg in a bowl and use a brush to coat the edges of the cake with it.

Lay out strips of dough with a lattice, attaching them to the base.

Brush the egg on top of the pie, garnish with cinnamon and send to a preheated 200 degree oven for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 180 and bake for 45 minutes.

Leave the cake at room temperature for 45-60 minutes to cool, and then serve.
