Strawberry French Toast Roll Ups .
Ingredients for 4 servings :
8 slice(s) of toast
2 egg(s)
3 tablespoons milk
1 cup sugar
1 tsp, heaped cinnamon powder
300 g strawberries
For the filling:
Cream cheese, or Nutella
butter, for frying
Instructions :
First, the strawberries are washed, drained and cut into small pieces. If you like, you can sprinkle the strawberries again with sugar and let them soak for a short time.
Now cut the crust off each slice of toast and smooth the slices with a rolling pin. Put about 1-2 teaspoons of Nutella or cream cheese on the end of each slice of bread and sprinkle a few strawberry pieces on top.
Roll up the toast slices into a tight roll. If you place the rolls with the “seam” down, they will not come back up.
In a shallow dish, whisk the eggs and milk until everything is well mixed. In a shallow dish, mix the sugar with the cinnamon. Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt a tablespoon of butter in it.
Dip each bread roll into the egg mixture so that everything is well moistened and place seam side down in the pan. Fry the rolls until golden brown (about 2 minutes per side). Place the finished rolls directly from the pan into the cinnamon and sugar and turn them in it until everything is coated.
