Chocolate Crust Granola is a healthy snack and healthy treat that is easy to make and irresistibly delicious. Dark chocolate granola with dried fruit and nuts is a great idea for a healthy dessert in January. Of course, it’s healthy if you only manage to eat one or two bites instead of the whole crust in one sitting.
Ingredients :
For the muesli layer :
2 ½ cups of muesli
2 tablespoons honey
2 ½ tablespoons peanut butter
2 ½ tablespoons melted coconut oil
1 egg white beaten with a fork
For the chocolate layer :
1 pound (450 grams) dark chocolate or dark chocolate chips.
Toppings :
3 tablespoons chopped pistachios
¼ cup dried cranberries
3 tablespoons chopped pecans
3 tablespoons shredded coconut
¼ cup dried banana chips
3 tablespoons ground almonds
Instructions :
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Melt the coconut oil and add the peanut butter and honey.
Put the muesli in a large bowl (chop it into large pieces) and pour the melted ingredients over the muesli. Add the egg whites and mix well so that everything is evenly moistened.
Spread the mixture evenly in a thin layer on the prepared baking sheet. Before baking, press firmly to seal.
Bake 20-25 minutes at 325 F until golden brown.
Melt the dark chocolate according to package directions and spread it over the baked cereal.
Sprinkle topping ingredients in rows (make sure rows are as even as possible).
Place in the refrigerator until firm (2 to 3 hours).
Cut the crust into pieces with a sharp knife.
Store in the refrigerator in a tightly sealed container.
