Air Fryer Acorn Squash .

This easy microwave acorn squash cooking method delivers perfectly tender acorn squash in no time! Load up with your favorite fillings like the classic comfort food combo of butter and brown sugar for a super-fast vegetable side that everyone loves!

1 acorn squash
2 tablespoons water
2 Tablespoons butter (1 tablespoon serving at a time)
2 tablespoons light brown sugar (packed – 1 tablespoon serving each).


Prepare your acorn squash by cutting it in half and removing the seeds. Leave as much flesh as possible in each half of the acorn squash. Rinse after coring.

Place acorn squash halves face down in a microwave-safe bowl or dish with 2 tablespoons of water. Heat on high for 5 minutes.

Transfer heated acorn squash halves to individual bowls, then add 1 tablespoon light brown sugar and butter to each. Microwave for an additional 5 minutes.

Use a fork to check for doneness after heating. Heat in additional 1 minute increments if needed until squash reaches desired sensitivity.
Remove from microwave and let cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
