Fresh green beans – 400 g
flour – ½ cup
egg – 1 egg
bread crumbs – 1 cup
Oil – 2 cups or as needed
Step-by-step recipe :
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Boil the green beans in the boiling water until bright green, about 2 minutes. Immediately transfer the green beans to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Drain and dry the beans with paper towels.
Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 175 degrees Celsius.
Pour the flour into a bowl. In a separate bowl beat the egg. In a third bowl, pour the breadcrumbs.
Roll the string beans in the flour, then transfer to the beaten egg. The last step is to roll the beans in breadcrumbs.
Fry the beans in batches in hot oil until golden, 3 to 5 minutes.
Place the refried beans on a paper towel-lined plate to drain off any excess fat. Serve the beans with the sauce.
